On this day, last year, the 88 year old Pakistani philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi breathed his last. Pakistanis miss his presence on his first death anniversary. The founder of Edhi Foundation and a father to so many passed away due to kidney failure. Edhi is known as Pakistan’s most respected figure as he devoted his entire life to help those in need. Edhi Foundation runs the world’s largest ambulance service and its centers are home to scores of people. The philanthropist is known for being on the streets to “beg” for money for the needy, even during catastrophes.
