Mahira Dedicates UK Asian Film Festival Award to her Son, Azlan

It is about bagging awards and more awards for the Pakistani diva Mahira Khan.

Currently in London, she was invited to speak at the 20th annual UK Asian Film Festival, where the star also bagged an award. She was honoured with the Contribution to Film and Activism Award.

Clad in an Elan saree, Mahira went on to dedicating the win to her son, Azlan.

“Thank you, I’m going to keep it short. Yes like you said, your son told you that you should mention him and I always ask my son, ‘What do you think I should say, should I thank you?’ He’d say, ‘Please, don’t thank me.’ So I hope someone’s recording this. This one’s for you Azlan.”

The beautiful actress was also seen sporting a Dhruv Kapoor striped ensemble in red and black, with her usual no-makeup look.

The starlet was also spotted at the London premiere of Cake starring Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik. It is set for release on March 30 in Pakistan.

The cast of the movie was present at the film fest and posed for pictures with Mahira.

The UK Asian Film Festival will be celebrating 20 years of championing independent South Asian cinema by hosting a 12-day season of film screenings and events in Edinburgh, Manchester, Leicester and London.
