7 Ways to Prep Your Skin For The Perfect Bridal Glow

Makeup will not save you if you do not wish to save yourself and skin first. For all the dulhans to be, start prepping early. It isn’t just about the clothes, jewelry, shoes etc, but also the bride’s own freshness.

Most of the times, we don’t have time for ourselves, and end up getting facials done at the last minute which may not even suit the skin quality. Rule of thumb: Do not take risks and do things or try things you haven’t before. The wedding day is near and it is not the right time for you to experiment. And if you’re smart enough, you’ll want nature to do all the magic instead of artificial products. Also, the last minute maiyoun ubtann will not help.

Here’s a list of some of the many things which will bring a glow to your face and will also be good for your body.

Hydrate yourself

The first step towards having glowing skin is to ensure you’re having plenty of water. Hydration is key. Keep a bottle of water with you at all times even while you’re out doing the last minute wedding shopping. Watermelon, which is a great source of hydration for your skin, is another option as you cannot have water all day long. So why not a fruit which is flavor-rich and water-rich? However, since it’s high on sugar, one bowl of freshly diced watermelons should be more than enough.

Tomato for the ultimate glow

Start having salads and make sure diced raw tomatoes are in it. And if you have acne, go for tomato juice. Our vote for the tomato because they aid the regeneration of collagen in the skin which protects it from sagging and ageing. A woohoo moment? Since it contains high levels of antioxidants it becomes a lifesaver at keeping the fine lines and wrinkles away. And no bride would want that on her big day and the days later, for sure.

Pineapples are incredible

This yummy fruit is not just a blessing for your skin but the entire body. It plays a role in improving your digestion, reducing inflammation, forming collagen and most importantly in removing toxins from the body. So grab a can of pineapples and start eating them! In fact, you may even add them to a salad to make it more nutritious. Avoid packed juices as they taste nothing like fresh juices do.

Salmon to the rescue

You cannot just stick to veggies and fruits, right? Salmon is absolutely perfect to get you your bridal glow. Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, it keeps skin firm, strengthens the nails, adds natural glow to the skin and also adds healthy shine to the hair. What more can you ask for? Whenever you have it, make sure the taste of the salmon is intact rather than torturing it with unnecessary masalas.

Limit the Sugar and Salt

One may think ‘how?’. But once you know that processed sugars and salts can cause inflammation and irritate your skin, you’ll want to stay away from them. This will not only help your waistline, but also reduce the puffiness and tired look from your face. To regulate your blood sugar, eat natural sugars found many fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Beetroot for magic

Go for it!!! The beetroot is best for repairing skin cells and also promotes the growth of new cells for younger looking skin. And every desi bride will want that because makeup may make one look slightly older on the wedding day. Beetroots are rich in vitamin A, potassium, calcium, and vitamin E. Adding it to salads, again, is the best way to eat this red wonder.

SLEEP!

This is the only way that all the natural skin care treatments mentioned above will give you the best results. More importantly, a full 8-hour sleep enables cell replenishing, healing and an overall healthy natural glow. If you are not sleeping enough, nothing in the world will make you look naturally fresh and healthy.
